Are you prepared to work with this fast-growing population? From hand shakes and eye contact to standards of modesty and privacy, cultural sensitivity is essential. Whether they are newly immigrated or highly assimilated, building relationships with Muslim patients and clients takes time, knowledge, and an intentional lack of prejudice. This one day training provides intimate cultural viewpoints and a supportive environment where your questions and concerns are welcome.

Mission of Hope (MoH) conferences and workshops provide stimulating information on a variety of health themes, primarily mental health. Presented by qualified health and welfare practitioners, our engaging presentations provide relevant academic research, as well as practical strategies, which are pertinent to the enhancement of the health and wellbeing of the culturally diverse Australian Muslim community.

The immediate objective of the conference is to provide a national and international forum for academics, clinicians, and health professionals to engage in meaningful dialogue regarding the issues of health and welfare issues as it applies to the diverse Australian Muslim community.
