Make a Difference - Become a Muslim Community Volunteer!
Many Muslim organisations have creative ideas to fulfil their organisations' needs, but do not have the human resources to implement their projects and events. So here is a chance for you, as an individual, to volunteer, or to volunteer your organisation's service, to provide the skills needed to help enhance Muslim community organisations in their initiatives.
Our long-term objective is to develop a professional, responsive and committed pool of volunteers who are able to provide all non-profit Muslim organisations with a ready source of assistance when organising and conducting programs, events, projects and initiatives. This will require volunteers from diverse backgrounds with a range of skills.
Our aim is to create an atmosphere of valuable community support, to work together to achieve successful community outcomes and increase the unity within the community through its very diversity. As a Muslim community, we need to strengthen the bonds that unite us in order to ensure that our cultural and religious needs are met. In doing so, our organisations are empowered and our services and programs become more efficient and productive.
As a volunteer you will have the opportunity to contribute in a tangible way to the development of the whole Muslim community in this country.
Mission of Hope will facilitate a pilot of this initiative in 2005 with existing community organisations and their current projects. This will lead to a launch of the finalised initiative in 2006 that will incorporate a comprehensive training and professional development program for all volunteers.
At Mission of Hope we strive to give "hope" to further the success of our growing Muslim community organisations. Various professional development training programs and other skills coaching will be provided.
Volunteers are vital for our community's growth and development.
